the nursery day

Heyford Park School Nursery Daily Routine.

· 9am - (AM session begins) - Welcome!

lunchboxes away, water bottles on trolley, coat on peg, find our name.

· 9.15am-9.30am - Free Play

Children are free to explore the space and activities available for the day, independently.

· 9.30am-9.45am - Carpet Time

Adult led. Take the Register, small group activity.

· 9.45am-10.45am - Free Play

The children will be inside and/or outside. Learning is supported, encouraged and developed with adult interactions and observations.

· 10.45am-11.00am - Tidy up time

Children are expected to help tidy away the toys.

· 11.00am – 11.20am - Carpet time

Adult led. Singing/games/educational videos and discussions.

· 11.20am-11.30am

The children use the toilet and wash hands prior to lunchtime.

 

· Lunch time 11.30am-12noon

We would like to clarify that our lunchtime period will remain part of the Morning (AM) session and will NOT form part of the Afternoon (PM) session. Lunch will need to be provided daily for your child.

 

· 12noon – PM session begins

· 12noon-12.45pm - Free Play

Children are free to explore the space and activities available for the day, independently.

· 12.45pm-1pm - Carpet Time

Adult led. Take the Register, small group activity.

· 1pm-2.30pm- Free Play

Will be inside and/or outside. Learning is supported, encouraged and developed with adult interactions and observations.

· 2.30pm - Tidy up time, Children are expected to help tidy away the toys.

· 2.40-2.50pm - Carpet time, Adult will read a story.

 

· Home Time 3pm.

 

Opening Times

Early drop off, lunchtime provision and wrap around care all take place in the Nursery setting.
