GCSE’s 2025

The summer 2025 exam period will run from Tuesday 6th May to Friday 20th June. However, students should be aware that as part of the summer exam series, a ‘contingency’ exam day has been announced by the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ). The designated contingency day for summer 2025 is Wednesday 25th June. This means that all exam candidates must remain available to sit exams from the date of their first exam until Wednesday 25th June 2025. This is not a Heyford Park School decision and applies to all candidates in all schools. Please can students, parents and carers make a note of the contingency exam date in the event that an awarding body needs to invoke its contingency plan, as it is vital that students are not absent from any rearranged papers.

Certificates from Summer 2024 will be available from November 2024 to collect; confirmation of this will be sent to candidates once they are available.

Please note the following when collecting certificates:

You will need to sign for them.

If you are unable to collect your own certificates you can ask someone to collect for you. Please email the exams team at HPS-exams@heyford.epatrust.org giving your authorisation for a third party to collect your certificates and include their details. The certificates will not be released without prior emailed authorisation from you.

We strongly recommend you collect your certificates as replacements can only be obtained from the Awarding Bodies and cost approximately £50.00 each to replace.

We currently have many old uncollected certificates so please check with us first if you haven’t ever collected them and now need them from previous years.

Heyford Park School will make every effort to ensure that our students receive the best possible preparation for their exams, that the administrative arrangements run smoothly, and that exams are conducted in a way that will cause as little stress as possible and help our students achieve their best.

Year 11 students receive an exam handbook; this contains useful information on how the school run public exams and the expectations on our students.  The handbook also contains links to the JCQ (Joint Council for Qualifications) exam documents and notices.  An electronic copy of the handbook is available to download and can be accessed below.
