Applying for a place at Heyford Park School

If you are interested in a place for your child starting in year 7 at Heyford Park School, please watch our “Virtual Tour” of the school, on the main home page for a tour around the school. This will be live from Wednesday 30th September.

The admissions process is managed by Oxfordshire County Council (OCC) and opened on 4th September 2020. The deadline for receipt of applications for a secondary school place in September 2021 is 31st October 2020.
The Trustees of the school are responsible for decisions relating to admissions, but work closely with the Local Authority who co-ordinate admissions to all schools in Oxfordshire. A copy of our admissions policy is available on the policies page of this site and is also posted below.

In Year Applications
Please apply directly to the school for in-year places using the form below. Please do not apply via the Local Authority. Forms can be returned to the school office for the attention of Ms Jane Allen, Admissions Manager or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Paper copies are also available from the school office.
It is not always possible for us to offer a place, however we do hold a waiting list which unsuccessful applicants can join if they wish.
The list is ranked in order using our admissions criteria set out in our Admissions Policy. If a place becomes available, we will then contact the parents of the child who is at the top of the list to offer them a place.
The continued interest list will be held until 30 June 2021, at which point they will close.

If you are not successful in being offered a place at Heyford Park School, you have the right to appeal the decision. An appeal form should be completed and returned to the school office.
If your appeal is regarding the allocation of a place for your child to start year 7, then the appeal process follows a timetable set out by the Local Authority. Appeals are heard by an independent panel. A decision by an appeal panel whether or not to offer a school place is binding on the admissions authority
