YEAR 7 AND RECEPTION PLACES SEPTEMBER 2023

If you are interested in a place at Heyford Park School for your child starting either Primary or Secondary school in Reception or Year 7, then you will need to complete the application process via the Local Authority, which is Oxfordshire County Council.

Further details can be found here:  https://www.oxfordshire.gov.uk/residents/schools/apply-school-place  and their contact number is 0345 241 2487.

TRANSFERRING SCHOOL

If you are considering a change of school for your child, please apply directly to the school for in-year places using the form below. Forms can be returned to the school office, or by emailing admissions@heyfordparkschool.org. Paper copies are also available from the school office.

It is not always possible for us to offer a place, however we do hold a waiting list which unsuccessful applicants can join if they wish.

The list is ranked in order using our admissions criteria set out in our Admissions Policy. If a place becomes available, we will then contact the parents of the child who is at the top of the list to offer them a place.

The continued interest list will be held until 30 June for all applications received in the current academic year at which point it will close and a new application will need to be made.

APPEALS

If you are not successful in being offered a place at Heyford Park School, you have the right to appeal the decision.  An appeal form should be completed and returned to the school office.

If your appeal is regarding the allocation of a place for your child to start in either Primary or Secondary for the first time, then the appeal process follows a timetable set out by the Local Authority. Appeals are heard by an independent panel. A decision by an appeal panel whether or not to offer a school place is binding on the admissions authority.
