Year 1/2
In KS1, they will cover ‘The Sea’ as a topic in summer. Here are some classical pieces that relate to this topic.

Haven is about the long-awaited return to home after experiencing the rough seas and wild weather at sea.

The thunderous timpani and raging brass at the beginning as the storm swells. Can you hear how the dynamic changes from the storm scene when it is strong, dark and intimidating to when the harp plays and the dynamic becomes much softer and more gentle depicting the moment when the sun shines out from behind the storm clouds.
